Once the tatami has been assembled as illustrated on the Tatami Assembly-Disassembly page, it may be necessary to trim the module.

Fig. 1 – In the example image above you can see how the modules embedded in each other form a pavement that is too long. The dotted line indicates the end of the floor, in which case the surplus tatami highlighted in dark blue will be cut.

Fig. 2 – With the tape measure, measure the distance between the wall and the extremity of the tatami.

Fig. 3 – Record the measurement taken by marking it with the felt-tip pen. Pay attention to the direction of the cut according to the fitting reference of the joints. As shown in Figure 4 (following image)
